Sip & Savor Gala + ‘All In Time’ Kick Off Opening Night Sept 10

la costa film festival

The hotly-anticipated La Costa Film Festival kicks off this year with the glamorous Sip & Savor Gala on Thursday, September 10. Guests will have the chance to sample world-class cuisine and beverages from some of North County’s finest restaurants and wineries (and of course, breweries!) under the stars on the beautiful Valley Promenade at the Omni La Costa. More than 25 top-notch dining establishments will be pulling out all the stops for this fabulous event!

The gala begins at 5:30pm and the first Red Carpet of the weekend will roll out promptly at 6:30pm; all of the weekend’s biggest stars will be in attendance, including the cast members of that evening’s opening feature. After night falls, guests will head over to Omni’s Center Court for an exclusive outdoor screening. This year’s Opening Night feature film is All in Time, a dramatic comedy about life, love and passion. The central character, Charlie, quits his corporate job in New York to move back to Pennsylvania and manage his favorite hometown rock band – firmly believing the band’s glory days are ahead of them. His supportive girlfriend shares his love for the band until struggles within the band force both Charlie and his girlfriend to make choices that will impact their lives forever.

After the screening, the cast members in attendance will introduce themselves; Lynn Cohen, Sean Modica, Laura Shay and Pritesh Shah, as well as Director Marina Donahue, all of whom will be available for a short Q & A opportunity after the film.

This year we will be featuring more than 45 critically acclaimed films, documentaries, and shorts; five exclusive world premieres; three unique panels with internationally renowned guest speakers; and two special tributes, including honoree John C. McGinley of Scrubs fame. Purchase your tickets for the Sip & Savor Gala and get more information on the films here now – tickets are going quickly!
